Amiglobe is a world atlas and database with information about every country in the world.You can choose from four map projections including flat, Peter's, Mercator'sor spherical. You can easily zoom in on any area to display cities, rivers,and main peaks. You can scroll around the map with keys, mouse and/or mousewheel. You can also display the night and day areas, locate a city or country on the map using a drop down list. The map can be printed or exported to other softwares. Some cities have links on photos on the Web.Amiglobe features a wealth of information about each country. The maininformation screen displays a map of the country and the flag, and lets youclick a button to hear the national anthem play. It also displays generalinformation such as area, population, density, capital city, GNP, and GNPper capita. You can click tabs to learn more about a country's geography,history, people, government, economy, transportation, and military. Allthese data can be printed or exported to an external word processor orspreadsheet.This updated version includes the most recent data available from the C.I.A.World Fact Book 2000, released in August 2000.
