OctaGate works like a switchboard, incoming requests are scanned for their destination, and the request is then tunneled to the matching server. OctaGate then creates a pipe or tunnel between the requested server and the client.You can set up your site like this:www.domain-a.com -> 192.168.0.10:80www.domain-a.com/shopping -> 192.168.0.11:8000www.domain-a.com/news -> 192.168.0.12:80www.domain-a.com/mail -> 192.168.0.10:8080 OctaGate can host any number of servers behind a single IP and port. OctaGate also support compression of outbound traffic even if the webserver does not. It can be run on the same computer as the web server or on a dedicated server.
