ScribeMaster 1.0
ScribeMaster handles most audio formats courts and law offices are using today. Properties allow selecting your 3-button scribe pedals with the rest of ScribeMaster's operations quite intuitive. Bubble help is available by hovering your mouse over any active buttons.ScribeMaster will Auto-Play, in other words play from start to finish, any standard audio file. Scribe will allow selecting multiple files for on-going transcription. Once a file is selected for transcription, to start the process simply tap your foot pedal forward, give a few seconds for start-up processing to occur, then you're ready. As a note, during transcription play you may tap the play pedal continuously causing ScribeMaster to back up on each tap. The back-up period is specified in Properties->Auto-Backspace. ScribeMaster is designed to use the audio capabilities of the device playing the file. For instance, when scribing a file from a CD you will hear the judge and lawyers with your ear-phones plugged into the CD drive. If your multi-media settings for the CD are set to "Enable CD Audio for this CD-ROM Device", the voices will be heard through your normal PC speakers. To force the sounds to the ear-phones plugged into the CD drive, simply un-check the "Enable CD Audio for this CD-ROM Device" in your multi-media settings. These settings can be found in Control Panel. Conversely, if the audio file is being scribed from a hard drive, the stereo speakers will project the voices. You may also plug your ear phones into the jacks for the stereo speakers Requirements: 5 MB disk space
ScribeMaster is a free to try software. You can free download and try it for an evaluation period.
